Spring Girl’s Bedroom Refresh With Floral Bedding
Our 6-year old daughter has been asking for a pink bedroom for a while now. Recently The Company Store reached out to me about collaborating on a bedroom refresh. I knew that this was the perfect opportunity to give our daughter her pink bedroom. Since it’s currently spring time and we have a small flower farm, I decided to design a pink floral themed girl’s bedroom for our daughter. My daughter was so excited when she found out that she was going to get a pink floral bedroom!
The Flowering Farmhouse teamed up with The Company Store for this blog post. This means that I received product and/or compensation in exchange for candid feedback. The opinions expressed on this blog are my own. As a result, all brands and products that I feature represent and showcase items that I personally use or like.
Creating A Pink Floral Girl’s Bedroom
Once we decided on a pink theme for our daughter’s bedroom, it was time to get started on redesigning her room. We decided that this refresh was the perfect opportunity to sort through toys and books. This allowed us the opportunity to tide up her room and also declutter. We let our daughter choose which books and toys she no longer played with and wanted to give away. Isn’t it always crazy how much accumulates over a couple of years?
Floral Themed Girl’s Bedroom
When we were ready to start designing our pink girl’s bedroom, I went on The Company Store’s website to start shopping. I was able to search all of their pink bedding and quickly narrowed my choice down to this Company Kids™ Flower Shower Organic Cotton Percale Duvet Cover Set. I loved the bright and cheerful mix of spring and summer flowers. Of course the pink was perfect for our floral themed girl’s bedroom. This floral duvet cover came with the duvet and two floral shams.
Organic Cotton Sheets For Pink Bedroom
Since we picked out a duvet with a pattern, I decided we would go with a solid color sheet set. I found the Company Essentials Organic Cotton Percale Sheet Set in Petal Pink. These organic cotton sheets are so soft and perfect for this floral themed girl’s bedroom.
The Petal Pink sheets are also the perfect shade of pink to match the Flower Shower Organic Cotton Percale Duvet Cover Set. Next, it was time to pick out a blanket and quilt to finish the bedding.
I picked out the Cable Knit Micro Cotton® Blanket in white to go along with my daughter’s floral bedroom. This blanket is so soft and washed up beautifully! (I always like to wash all new sheets and bedding before putting them on the bed). I also love that this blanket is light-weight and breathable. Our daughter is a warm sleeper so this blanket is perfect for her!
I also ordered the Company Cotton Voile Quilt in white. I love the look of having a throw or quilt placed over the bed. Not only does the quilt create a nice contrast against the floral bedding, but it is also there to provide an extra layer of warmth if needed.
Finding the right paint color for a pink girl’s bedroom
Once we picked out all of the new bedding, we headed to the paint store to pick out a pink paint. We fell in love with Benjamin Moore’s blush color called First Light. This blush colored pink coordinates so nicely with the floral themed bedroom. I was worried that painting the bedroom all pink would be too much, but this soft pink color actually compliments the floral bedroom perfectly.
Mommy & Me Pajamas To Match Pink Bedroom
While placing my order for new bedding on The Company Store, I came across their darling pajamas. My daughter loves anything unicorns and cats so when I saw their Organic Cotton™ Kids’ PJ set – Caticorn, I knew that she’d love it! I also decided to order their Printed TENCEL™ Modal Sleepwear Pajama Set in pink for myself. And oh my goodness, these pajamas are so soft and comfortable to sleep in!
Are you due for a bedroom refresh in your home? Spring is a great time to mix things up. Perhaps a new duvet cover or lightweight blanket is all you need to freshen up your bedroom. I know that my daughter is now excited to go to bed each night in her new floral themed girl’s bedroom. I hope that this post gave you some ideas for refreshing your bedding or bedroom.
