For many years I’ve dreamed of being able to provide friends and family with fresh bouquets of flowers from my garden. Some of you may have even seen me at the Hood River Farmer’s Market selling bouquets in 2019. I’ve spent years growing flowers in my backyard. In 2020, I completed an intensive flower farming workshop through Floret Flowers. And now thanks to acquiring additional land to grow our flowers, I am pleased to be able to offer a Floral CSA Subscription to those of you in the Hood River Valley!

What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. The idea is that community members support their local farmers and families by purchasing a seasonal subscription. In this case, you would be purchasing a Flower CSA Subscription (or share) of seasonal flowers. By investing in your local farmer, you provide the funds up front to help cover overhead expenses. This includes everything from bulbs, seeds, irrigation supplies, soil preparation, and anything else needed for growing beautiful flowers. In exchange for your initial investment, you receive locally grown, pesticide free flowers.

All CSAs must be picked up at Local Rhoots on Tuesdays between 2-5PM, unless a delivery option is selected. If you are unable to pick-up during this time, please choose Home Delivery. Home Deliveries will be on Tuesdays between 11am and 5pm.

You will receive a vase with your first delivery. Please be sure to place your vase outside on delivery days if you can not be home for your delivery.

Late Summer Dahlia Bouquet C.S.A. Subscription

Enjoy locally grown dahlia bouquets this summer. Each bouquet includes locally grown, pesticide free dahlias mixed with some greenery to make a stunning bouquet for your home!

This 6-week Dahlia C.S.A. subscription runs from August 10th through September 14, 2022.

This year the Flowering Farmhouse is growing over 2000 dahlias and over 150 different varieties. Each week you’ll sure to find a new dahlia to love!

Dahlias typically only last 4-7 days.

Bouquets will be delivered every Wednesday between 10am and 5pm.
