It’s holiday baking season! These soft and chewy

It’s holiday baking season! These soft and chewy Chocolate Crinkles are one of my favorite holiday cookies to make! I’ve been making these since I was a little girl.
Here is the recipe:
-1/2 cup vegetable oil
-4 oz Unsweetened Chocolate
-2 Cups Granulated Sugar
-4 Eggs
-2 Tsps. Vanilla
-1/2 Tsp Salt
-2 Cups Flour
-2 Tsps Baking Powder
-1 Cup Powdered Sugar (for rolling cookies in)

If you want beautiful spring tulips 🌷 then you need to plant them in the late fall. Most bulbs like tulips and daffodils need a cold period to bloom. By planting the bulbs in the fall, the bulbs will start to send out roots in the fall. Then when temperatures begin to warm up in the spring, your tulips 🌷 will come out of hibernation and start to grow and bloom!
I’m waiting on some snow to melt so I can finish planting my tulips. The rule of thumb is that if the ground is not frozen, you can still plant. Most tulips need 12-14 weeks of cold temperatures (below 55 degrees) so for many of us, there’s still time to plant for spring!

It’s still a winter wonderland outside and we have tons of birds visiting the flower farm! I purposely leave many of my summer annuals in the ground until spring to provide food and habitat for the birds. Leaving some of your summer garden throughout winter can actually be a good thing. The birds will thank you!

It’s December! While the dahlias have been done blooming for a while now, Myrtles Brandy always reminds me of Christmas. This beauty pumped out a ton of blooms on long stems this past summer. This dahlia is also a great tuber producer!
Are you ready for Christmas? I still have fall planting to finish up, but I’m looking forward to slowing down a bit for the holiday season!
